Facebook Hit Badly By Ban In Pakistan

Facebook was banned by Pakistan’s Supreme High Court, we do a bit of researching to see how Facebook stands now. Well, the results are not very outstanding and it seems, Facebook is taking a heavy blow because of the ban. And if the ban supposing, continues for more than just 3 days, Facebook will be in deep trouble. According to Alexa Ratings, Facebook stands as 3rd best web page in Pakistan. So of course, the damage will be huge.
The Facebook group “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day!” has generated heaps of criticism in the predominantly Muslim Islamic Republic of Pakistan – Muslims faithfuls set up online campaigns and other protests to grab the attention of the authorities.
A group of lawyers called the Islamic Lawyers’ Movement went a step further today and petitioned the court to order a blanket ban on Facebook in Pakistan. About 45 million Pakistani use the social networking site, according to various reports.
Justice Ejaz Chaudhry of the Lahore High Court directed the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority to block Facebook until May 31, when the court will open a detailed hearing into the case, and to submit a written reply to the petition by that date.

This is the most important of the 3. Let us see, what the damage is and how drastic it can be?. As of now, the Page Rank seems to be the same. I will update the post tommorow again with more fresh results!.
This is the number of people who visit Facebook, and as we see the stats have seem to have been coming down from quite some time. But notice how the figures came tumbling down from yesterday. A drastic change of -6.73% . It seems, it had all started when the “Draw Muhammad (PBUH)” controversy started.

From all this we can see, that people have started boycotting Facebook and it (Facebook) sees a down run of users and pageviews. More fresh results will come tomorrow, which by my prediction, will be even bizarre and stunning as Facebook was banned today, not yesterday. So wait on, and let us wait for tomorrow’s result.
